Equipment – lots of different pieces of equipment can be used to support everyday tasks. These can include Disability Aids like the ones that you can find from Ability Superstore. The aids you can get include those that help with mobility and movement and those that can help with bathing and personal hygiene. Patience – whilst a person not living with a disability might be able to dash around and complete tasks with relative ease and speed, this is not always the case for those with disabilities. This means that you may need to be a little more patient with them. There is nothing worse than rushing them and making them feel more inadequate in their abilities.

Companionship – having a disability can be very lonely and it is important that you find ways to support them with their companionship. This could be ensuring that you visit them regularly or it could be finding them some local support groups.
