Choosing the right walking stick for you is important. You need the stick to be the correct height, as it needs to give you the correct support, and a stick too low or too high can potentially be dangerous. When you choose a stick, wear the shoes that you wear every day. Put the bottom of the walking stick on the floor to the side of your foot and stand upright. The stick top should then be level with your wrist if it is the correct height for you.
