Creating the perfect home office

Home

Many of us are being asked to work from home at the moment. Despite what some dinosaur business and industry leaders might say this trend looks set to continue for many of us either by choice or by the design of our employers. The mass movement of workers from 7.30am to 10.00am using up fossil fuels in cars, buses and trains can be significantly reduced if we all just got on with the job in our homes. There wouldn’t be the need to fuel huge office blocks either.

However it does mean that we are now having to examine our own homes with a view to creating an office space. Working from the dining room table off of a kitchen side is ok in the short term but is not ideal in the long term. Therefore one of the first priorities is to find a space in the home that you can use. This should be a room of its own but if that’s not practical then a corner of a living room is best. Try to avoid using a bedroom as this can disturb sleep patterns.

Getting a desk unit is essential and the space saving corner units are perfect for this purpose. A solid laptop, just for work purposes should also be considered, although with any luck your employer should have provided you with one. You’’ also need a good internet link with solid decent security and it is also a good idea to invest in a Sharp Printer lease from a company like https://elmrep.co.uk/ as they can ensure that you have a top notch printer and all the paper print needs that you require.
