In most cases, the problem occurs when a chemical or substance gets in contact with an object in a laboratory, such as a syringe, needle or any other item that has been used. This type of contamination will result in contamination of the objects being used in the laboratory and will cause experiments to become void. Even though this might be the case, there is also a possibility of contamination being caused by an outside source such as when a foreign object is introduced into the lab. Another problem can arise when a researcher uses the same instrument in more than one lab or sensitive items aren’t stored securely. Because of the importance of the use of a laboratory, there are a lot of safety measures that should be followed for ensuring that the lab is safe. For example, whenever the use of a biological product is required, the environment should always be clean before and after use, regardless of whether it is for experimentation or for research purposes. It is important for researchers to note that there are risks involved in a laboratory and it is up to them to protect their workspace.
